Term: Gross Profit

Gross Profit is what you get when you subtract the cost of goods sold from your revenue. For example, if you sell 10 pineapples for five dollars each, but they cost you one dollar to buy, you would have a revenue of 50 dollars, and a cost of goods sold of 10 dollars, meaning your gross profit would be 40 dollars.
